How It Works

1.

We’ll Get Clear

We’ll begin by defining the journey. This will involve a true understanding of what’s going on and what you actually want to change.

2.

We’ll Go Deep

From there, we’ll explore the foundational, pivotal experiences that shaped the patterns keeping you stuck right now.

3.

We’ll Shift Things

We use IFS, EMDR, and other empirically validated methods to change those patterns — not just understand them.

What’s Included:

Weekly or Bi-weekly Sessions

Most clients enjoy 50-minute sessions, but longer appointments and intensives are available for deeper, focused work.

Validated Methods

My work is informed by empirically validated approaches such as IFS, EMDR, and EFT. I will tailor the methods and tools to fit your situation.

Location Convenience

I offer in-person and online appointments, making it easy for you to attend sessions even if you live on the other side of the state.

A Flexible Journey

I’ll adapt your sessions to truly support you even as things evolve and your needs change.

What Clients Say…

"After 40 years battling depression with limited success elsewhere, Angela helped me believe I could not just survive — but thrive. She gave me a safe place to grieve and the tools to finally believe I have the power to change my life."

PAULA

"I met Angela in a shattered, broken state. She gave me real, practical 'tools for my toolbelt' that helped quiet my anxiety and rewire how I react to life. A year later, I'm stronger, more confident, and more joyful than I've been in years."

PAM

"It's rare to find a therapist who blends empathy, structure, and science the way Angela does. Her steady guidance has helped us communicate and connect — and she's genuinely working to give us the tools to thrive without her."

LISA & JEFF

Dr. Huebner equipped us with the tools and strategies needed to communicate and express our concerns in a respectful and kind way. We both felt equal amounts of support and encouragement. Dr. Huebner saved our marriage!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does therapy cost?

$240 / 50-minute session

This is deep, individualized work with a therapist who has spent 30+ years studying exactly how people change — and how to help it stick.

How do payments work?

Payment for your session is due at the time of service.

Do you accept insurance?

I'm an out-of-network provider, but I'll give you a super-bill you can submit to your insurance if your plan allows. I recommend checking with your provider first.

Do you offer telehealth?

I offer telehealth for clients located in Virginia, but I prefer to meet in person whenever possible — especially as we're getting started.

Is parking available at your office?

Yes — there's ample free parking, and my office is also near a metro station.

Do we have to meet weekly?

It's best to start weekly so we can build some momentum together. From there, many clients shift to bi-weekly, then monthly, as the work progresses.
